Wisuta Chumsawat


Ph.D. Candidate

Wisuta is from Nakhon Si Thammarat, Thailand. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Master’s degree in Biotechnology from Mahidol University, Thailand. In 2022, she moved to the Netherlands to pursue a Master’s in Plant Sciences (specializing in Greenhouse Horticulture) at Wageningen University & Research.

Now, she is a PhD candidate in a collaborative project between the Laboratory of Plant Physiology and Plant Breeding group. Her research focuses on the root architecture of potato under drought stress, aiming to identify beneficial root traits that enhance potato resilience in drought. In her free time, she enjoys crocheting, watching movies, cooking, and traveling.
