Selina Ilchmann

Ph.D. Candidate

Selina is from Switzerland. She obtained a BSc in Agricultural Sciences (ETH, Zurich) followed by a MSc in Plant Biotechnology (WUR, Wageningen). For her master thesis, Selina investigated the impact of light and herbivory on the metabolic composition of tomato leaves.

Currently, she is part of a collaborative work between Environmental Technology and Laboratory of Plant Physiology at WUR. In her PhD project, she wants to investigate the fate of micropollutants after they have been absorbed by plants. She is interested in the degradation processes and transport routes within the plant. In her free time, Selina enjoys to explore new places and dishes from all around the world.
